Experiencing work overload? Trust me you are not alone. Many people get way in over their head trying to balance work, friends, and family. You need to organize your tasks in a way that you can be most productive. This will also help you performance and reduce stress. Balancing your time is something you need to develop. Here are a few different tips you can use to manage your time.

1. Scheduling

Begin by carrying around a notebook with you to list all your tasks. Today, phones have a notepad or apps to help you with this. Use them daily to remind you of what needs to be done. Make sure you are being realistic with what you want to accomplish.

2. Start early

The early person prospers. You need to maximize your day when opportunities and resources are present to get things done. Waking up early allows you to plan with a clear head before you get going.

3. Prioritize

When making you list of tasks, make sure you put the important tasks first. It should go from most urgent to the least urgent.

4. Deadlines

After you find tasks and projects that need to be done, set a deadline. Make sure you challenge yourself to stick with the set deadline and get it accomplished.

5. Plan ahead for your meals

Going to the grocery and preparing meals takes a lot of time. Therefore, take some time on the weekends and go to the grocery to buy what you will need for all you menus. This will save you lots of time during your weekdays. You can also prepare your meals in advance and freeze them.

6. Cleaning your house

During your weekdays, only clean the dishes and laundry. As for other general cleanings such as floor cleaning and carpet cleaning, they can wait till the weekend. You can even hire a professional maid service like The Maids of Rhode Island, in Coventry, to do this job for you; they are affordable and gives you time to concentrate on your work.

7. Breaks

You need to take some time off from your work and rest. Taking a break means you have to avoid stress and add value to your life. Take a walk, go and eat, listen to music, read a book or exercise for 30 minutes.
