Two Great Ideas for Making Cleaning Easier

The Maids • Apr 26, 2013

Anytime you can make house cleaning a little easier, you'll want to try it—after all, who wants to spend all day cleaning? These two great ideas will get you started cleaning right away and make the whole process a little better.

Take It With You

One way to make cleaning easier is to find ways from needing to run from room to room or always hunting for your materials.

The quickest and easiest way to remove this is to create a carrier that holds all of your cleaning supplies that can then just come with you wherever you go. This can be a bag, a bucket, or a small case with a handle. Keep it light and simple with just enough cleaning products to get you through your cleaning.

Bonus: Refill the caddy when you're finished cleaning so it will be ready to go again when you are!

Use What You Have

Many great cleaning products are sitting right inside your cabinets, so delve into the things you have and figure out what you can make with them. Lemon, baking soda, and vinegar all make great solutions. For instance:

  • A lemon cut in half and rubbed on hard water stains will remove the stain.
  • Vinegar mixed with water can be used as a general all-purpose cleaner and disinfectant.
  • Baking soda is a natural carpet freshener, just sprinkle it on the carpet, let it absorb, and then vacuum.

You also have some items that have purposes for cleaning. In fact, a tennis ball can be used to remove scuff marks on the floor and white bread rolled into a ball can remove crayon marks on the wall!

Making cleaning easy means freeing up more time for other things, and that's the ultimate goal.
